Black Friday is an interesting time. The irony of it is extreme. Thanksgiving is a day to focus on what we are thankful for. Black Friday seems like the opposite. Especially when you hear of the crazy things people will do for doorbusters sometimes.

I like to watch people. The expressions on people's faces tell a story sometimes. As I go about my goal is to bring smiles to people's faces. It really isn't that hard. There is almost always something you can sincerely compliment someone about. I love the light it usually brings to someone's face. The spirit within is beautiful.

Beauty is not just what you see on the outside. I remember as my husband's grandma was on her deathbed, I was in awe at the transcendent beauty I saw in her. 

So as December comes, try it out. See what you can do to make everyone around you smile. Make someone feel like they are special, like they matter. Look for the beauty in everyone. They will feel good, and you will feel amazing! It is even better to do this if you are struggling!
